Housing Options

Improve your English faster, and learn about American culture by living with a homestay family. Living at International Village (IV) apartments allows you to experience campus life, meet students from the U.S., and access UCR campus facilities. For short-term programs, or for those who want to check out local housing options in person, you may reserve a room in our on-site Extension Residence Center (ERC).

On-campus housing: International Village (IV)

International Village (IV) is our most flexible housing option for adult students (aged 18 and over), who want to live on campus with or without a roommate/housemate. IV is an independently-owned residence hall located on the UCR campus, within walking distance of your classes.

Off-campus housing: American Homestay Family

Students who stay with an American family improve their English more quickly, learn about American life and customs, and form a unique bond and friendship with their hosts. Homestay is also the most economical housing option. You will have a double-occupancy, furnished room, and all meals. Daily transportation to classes and school-related activities is included.

On-campus housing: Extension Residence Center (ERC)

(Short-Term Only)

The Extension Residence Center (ERC) is conveniently located within the UCR Extension Center, and is available to guests aged 18 and over, for up to 14 nights.

Other Housing Options

If you wish to arrive in Riverside and look for housing, there are several hotels conveniently located within walking distance of UCR Extension. There also many options for off-campus apartments, which may require a long-term lease.
