important part of language learning is practicing your English outside
the classroom. You may do this by joining the many optional activities
offered. Students are encouraged to participate in these activities
to make new friends, relax from their studies and learn more about

UC Riverside
offers a wide variety of arts and cultural activities including botanic
gardens, photography, dance, digital studio, music, performing arts,
art gallery, theatre and more.
UCR's sports
facilities, including tennis courts, swimming pool, volleyball courts,
basketball courts, soccer fields and gymnasium, are available to students
for a small fee (age restrictions apply).
Several
businesses such as banks, department stores, groceries stores, movie
theaters and restaurants are available within walking distance from
school.
