Offered in partnership with the University of California, Riverside Extension, AYCP can help you develop the critical skills and specialized knowledge needed to meet anticipated future needs in many kinds of careers. You can also get practical work experience and develop a professional network of American and international colleagues.

Students who successfully complete the full academic requirements for the AYCP may apply for permission to obtain paid work for up to 12 months in their field of study. This allows students an opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to a practical work experience off campus. This work experience is called Optional Practical Training (OPT).

The University of California, Riverside, IEP will assist students with their OPT application; however, students are responsible for finding their own job opportunity.
