Students who successfully complete the full academic requirements for the AYCP may apply for permission to obtain paid work for up to 12 months in their field of study. This allows students an opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to a practical work experience off campus. This work experience is called Optional Practical Training (OPT).
