The Gangnam-University of California Riverside International Education
Center (GNUCR) was established at the request of the District City of
Gangnam in order to attend to the growing need for economical and high-quality
academic English language education and to prepare students to study
abroad.
GNUCRs Study Abroad Program has become one of the most
respected programs in Korea. It offers academic English language and
culture preparation,
with instruction by professionally qualified faculty. Because of the
partnership with UC Riverside, GNUCR students can easily continue their
educational experience in the International Education Programs at University
of California, Riverside.
To date, UC Riverside is the only on-site American university to successfully
establish a not-for-profit program that offers transferable university
credits to its students. Students who successfully complete a level receive
University of California undergraduate credit.
