IEP staff members promote new academic year program in Japan
UCR’s International Education Program staff members Suzanne Hartzell and Rika Toyoda visited five Japanese universities this spring to promote a new academic year program, the Consortium Academic Program, designed by the UC Extension Consortium for Global Partnerships. Denise Babel, the associate director of UC Irvine’s English & Certificates for Internationals program, also attended. Their visits included a two-day study abroad fair at Waseda University and meetings with officials from Tokyo Woman’s Christian University, Gakushuin University, Keio University, and Aoyama Gakuin University.
Suzanne and Rika also visited with officials, staff, faculty and students of UCR’s sister universities, Josai University in Saitama and Josai International University in Togane.
