Tours
Since learning
takes place outside the classroom as well as within it, we organize
social activities to familiarize students with American culture and
to reinforce their knowledge of the English language. In addition to
parties, visits to local schools, and other social activities, programs
also include optional visits to cultural attractions on the West Coast. |

Culture
Days
Throughout
the year, IEP organizes Culture Days in which students are encouraged
to share their own cultures with the instructors, the staff, their
colleagues, and children from local elementary schools. The events
take place at the UC Riverside Extension Center and at local schools.

Talent
Show
Students
with special talents are encouraged to show their skills to their new
friends, staff and teachers. Demonstrations include singing, dancing,
playing musical instruments, among others. |

Parties
Several
parties are organized to help students make new friends and relax from
the hard work in classes. The most popular are the welcome parties
and the Halloween dance.
