Cultural Activities for English Students

Tours

Since learning takes place outside the classroom as well as within it, we organize social activities to familiarize students with American culture and to reinforce their knowledge of the English language. In addition to parties, visits to local schools, and other social activities, programs also include optional visits to cultural attractions on the West Coast.

Learning English in California

Culture Days

Throughout the year, IEP organizes Culture Days in which students are encouraged to share their own cultures with the instructors, the staff, their colleagues, and children from local elementary schools. The events take place at the UC Riverside Extension Center and at local schools.

Language course in America

Talent Show

Students with special talents are encouraged to show their skills to their new friends, staff and teachers. Demonstrations include singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, among others.

Langauge course in California

Parties

Several parties are organized to help students make new friends and relax from the hard work in classes. The most popular are the welcome parties and the Halloween dance.
