English Language Program
The English language program at the University of California, Riverside, isone the best English programs in California. At UCR we realize that you havemany English programs in California to choose from. Our program is thelargest in the University of California system and one of the largest inAmerica.
We offer a wide variety of English programs as well as a number of supportservices for our students. Our Cultural Activities office organizes specialevents for students including trips to popular tourist attractions in California. We also have our own dormitory and can arrange for students to stay with homestay families. We do our best to ensure that your experience studying English in California will be pleasant and rewarding with above average IEP staff
The International Education Program at UC Riverside has one of the largest English language schools in California and the largest in the University of
California system. In order to be successful, international students need to
be able to communicate effectively and with confidence in English.
In addition to intensive English classes, our English language program
offers classes in TOEFL preparation, English for International Business,
Improving Oral Fluency and University Preparation. We have offered
high-quality English language programs for over 30 years. If you want to

English
language schools in California, Intensive
English program is part of our Language course in California for foreign
students preparing to enter an American college
or university, for
professionals or for individuals
15 years
or older who wish to improve their English ability. Students in the
advanced levels (500/600) may take one Extension class or campus class
at no additional cost.
Year-round
programs offered in 10-week, 6-week and 4-week sessions. English
language schools California. Students attend 24+ hours of English
classes per week. Placement in six levels,
beginning to advanced. Small classes (average 14 students per class)
with students from more than 35 countries. |

Private
or group conversational partner at no additional cost. (10-Week session)
UCR
class (for credit) with American students at no extra charge to students
at advanced levels in 10-week session of the Intensive
English Program. (Language
course in California and Extension classes available year-round; degree
classes available in fall, winter and
spring only.)

transferable University of California credit given for advanced and professional
