Where did they go?

Students in the EBJ program tour American businesses, legal institutions and city government offices that are directly related to their studies. Here’s where they went in 2005.
Waxie Distribution Center

Waxie Sanitary Supply Company is the leading supplier of cleaning supplies and equipment in the Western United States. EBJ students toured one of their distribution facilities located in Ontario.

Victoria Gardens Regional Shopping Center

Part park, part community center, part mall – this brand new regional shopping center boasts retail business the American way.

Desert Hills and Cabazon Factory Outlets

EBJ students spoke to marketing professionals and store managers at this mega outlet mall offering top brands at discount prices.

Riverside City Hall

Riverside City Hall is the seat of city government here in Riverside. EBJ students spent the day with council member Ameal Moore while learning how local democratic government operates in the U.S.

Historic Mission Inn

A slice of historic Riverside, the Mission Inn is an architectural monument to the days of Spanish influence, adobe homes and streets lined with citrus trees in full bloom. Here, EBJ students are in the Mission Inn chapel, a popular place to get married in Riverside.

Riverside Superior Court

EBJ students interview attorneys, meet judges and sit in on criminal and civil trials to experience the American justice system first-hand. Here, the students take an oath in the jury box with district attorney Curt Hofeld.

Robert Presley Detention Center, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department

EBJ students toured the Riverside County jail and the
Riverside City Police Department. Here a police officer jokingly handcuffs
Tomoki Hamada in a mock arrest.
